Proaction Cafe - IDEA GENERATION

Wednesday 12th April 2017 - 6pm-8:30pm

Want to make an impact? Want to get involved and make a difference?

We are looking for people to come along to our first 'Proaction Cafe' event and support others to generate ideas on how they can address social issues that affect the lives of Leicester's residents.

What we are looking for:

  • Leicester and Leicestershire residents with an open mind

  • People who have a positive, 'can-do' approach

  • People who can share experiences and build on the ideas of others

You don't need to be experts in policy, or even knowledgeable about the topics being discussed. All that is required is a willingness to get involved, collaborate and to help others. Not only is it a chance to kickstart a process that could result in making a real difference to the lives of people in Leicester, but it's a great opportunity to network and meet lots of other like-minded people.

There will also be an opportunity for people to join a 'design team' following the event which will take forward some of the ideas generated by the discussions on the day.

To come along and get involved, book your place here.

What is a 'Proaction Cafe'?

It is a format of event hosting that is commonplace around the World. It is designed to get people talking, sharing, moving around, and generating ideas in response to a set number of calls to action or projects. The emphasis is on sharing, being creative, listening to others, and helping new ideas to emerge.

What topics are being discussed at Leicester Interchange's event?

We have a wide range of calls planned for the event; from education, to ethical business, to community cohesion, we have a whole host of different calls to respond to! More details on the calls and the people who are making them will be found on our website in the lead up to the event.
